The Insolvency Control Service - Latvia

The Insolvency Control Service is a direct administration institution under the supervision of the Minister for Justice of Latvia which implements the State policy in issues of legal protection proceedings and insolvency proceedings, protects the interests of employees in case of insolvency of their employer. Main functions of the Insolvency Control Service are: 1) supervision of activities of the administrator; 2) organizing of the examination of the administrator; 3) satisfying employees claims from guarantee fund in insolvency cases.
