Nan Eitel
Nan Roberts Eitel joined the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees as Associate General Counsel for Chapter 11 in July 2010. Working with other members of the General Counsel’s office, Ms. Eitel advises the U.S. Trustee Program’s 93 field offices in 21 regions on complex chapter 11 issues and coordinates with them and senior leadership in the Executive Office to develop and promote consistent positions and policies on chapter 11 issues significant to the program.
Before joining the Executive Office, Ms. Eitel was a partner in the Jones Walker law firm, where she practiced in the bankruptcy and commercial litigation groups for 21 years. Ms. Eitel was resident in the firm’s New Orleans office from 1989 until she relocated to the Washington, DC, office in 2005. Ms. Eitel received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1989 and her B.A., cum laude, from Georgetown University in 1984.
