    1. Develop legislation and policy relating to Insolvency.
    2. Implementation of the Insolvency Act and its Regulations.
    3. Regulate Insolvency Practice in Kenya by supervising Insolvency Practitioners.
    4. Manage affairs of Bankrupts’ estates and Insolvent Company estates.
    5. Liquidation and administration of insolvent and financially distressed companies
    6. Investigate offences and conduct of any person or company subject to the Insolvency Act.
    7. Act as officers of the Court.
