Opportunity for a new member of staff to earn a scholarship to present at the 2024 IAIR conference

We are delighted to announce that IAIR is offering a scholarship for a new member of staff to present at the 2024 conference.

We recognise that generally it is the most senior employees of our members who attend the conference. However, last year at the conference we had an outstanding presentation from a young employee of a member organisation who had won a competition run by his organisation to present at our conference.   This made us keen to encourage greater participation from a wider range of people at our conference. Hence the IAIR Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice have come up with the following proposal which has been supported by the IAIR Executive Committee.

Applications are sought from people working for an IAIR member and they must be new to the insolvency profession.  They will also need the support of a contact within the IAIR member organisation - and the organisation will have to be a paid IAIR member. 

Applicants will need to have a plan for a presentation of 30 minutes which relates to the conference theme of “Modernizing Insolvency Practices to Address Future and Present Demands”.

The person winning the scholarship will be able to attend the full IAIR 2024 conference in Washington DC with their delegate fees paid and also be eligible for up to £1,500 towards travel and accommodation costs (subject to the provision of receipts supporting the claimed expenses).
