Brendan Crowley

Mr. Brendan Crowley is a Counsel in the Financial and Fiscal Law Unit of the Legal Department of the IMF.  Prior to joining the IMF, Mr. Crowley was a Principal Officer with the Finance Ministry of Ireland.  In that capacity, Mr. Crowley was responsible for advising the Irish Minister for Finance on a range of bilateral and multilateral tax issues and represented Ireland at several international fora including the OECD Task Force on the Digital Economy and the European Union's High Level Working Party.  He began his career with the Irish member firm of KPMG and has also lectured extensively for the Irish Tax Institute. Mr. Crowley received his Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the University College Dublin, his Masters of Law from Trinity College Dublin, and his Barrister-at-Law degree from the Honorable Society of the King's Inns in Ireland.   He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor.
