Russell Fildes- National Manager of the Insolvency and Trustee Service and Deputy Official Assignee of New Zealand

Russell Fildes is the National Manager of the New Zealand Insolvency and Trustee Service and holds the delegation of the Deputy Official Assignee in New Zealand. The Insolvency and Trustee Service administers all Bankruptcies, No Asset Procedures, Debt Repayment Orders and the liquidations where the Official Assignee is appointed the liquidator. Russell also works with the policy team of the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment on the development of personal and corporate insolvency law.

He has worked for the New Zealand Insolvency & Trustee Service since 2004, though he did have a stint working for the Business Recovery Services unit of PWC between 2008 and 2009.

Russell is a Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia + New Zealand and the Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association New Zealand   (RITANZ)
