Sarah Albon - Chief Executive of the Insolvency Service for England and Wales
Sarah has been the CEO of the Insolvency Service since the beginning of 2015. She has spent most of her working life in the UK civil service and for much of this time she worked in the Ministry of Justice and its predecessor departments. Her work has covered areas as diverse as policy; strategy; and finance as well as operational roles. She has worked closely with Ministers and the Senior Judiciary. Immediately before joining the agency she was the Director of Strategy and Change in Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service. Whilst there she was responsible for a number of projects on the Government Major Projects Portfolio. Since joining the Insolvency Service she has lead the response to a number of high profile business failures (such as BHS and Carillion) and is leading the organisation through a time of major transformation.
